Social media can make this stage of life even harder.
You open Instagram or TikTok and suddenly someone your age is travelling to beautiful places, buying a car, getting engaged, graduating, starting a successful business, or moving into their dream apartment.
And then you look at your own life and think:
“What am I doing?”
Comparison can make you feel like you’re behind when you’re actually just on a different path.
Remember that you are seeing people’s highlights, not their entire lives.
You don’t see the nights they cried.
You don’t see their financial struggles.
You don’t see their failed relationships.
You don’t see the applications they sent that were rejected.
You don’t see the uncertainty behind the photographs.
So don’t use someone else’s visible success to measure your invisible progress.
Your life doesn’t become less meaningful because someone else reached a milestone before you.
There is no universal timetable for life.
